I can’t even begin to think where February has gone! Wasn’t it just New Year’s yesterday?
February was filled with shows, shows and more shows. I spent the majority of it being sick and miserable, but as they show they show must go on. DayQuil and antibiotics to the rescue.
I was incredibly honored to be the host of the GOAExpo in Ft Lauderdale Florida from February 16-18. A great time was had by all and the people I met and became friends with will be friends for life. It was such a well-run conference and the organizers did the perfect job of making sure it was enjoyable for all the attendees. Besides introducing the Key Note speakers for the two days, I was the Emcee for the Fashion Show featuring Sabina Saga. Her designs were so unique and inspiring. I overheard may times that she’s the “Next Big Thing” in Fashion. In my opinion, she’s not “NEXT”, she’s “NOW”. One of the most down to earth people, she was a pleasure to work for and get to know.
I finished up February taping some upcoming segments for WBBZ-TV. My friend Kara Neidel- The Fish Fry Gal and I visited Brennans and Griffon Gastro Pub to film some material to be used at a later date. The restaurants took incredibly good care of us, gave us great tours and most importantly, fed us! We’ll be adding these taped segments to the Bragging Rights game show when we tape on March 15th. From what it sounds like, this could be the beginning of something good with the station. Fingers crossed…
